I still do not understand how Alexa works. Does Alexa ignore totally internet users without Alexa toolbar? Or just estimate them? For some branches internet users using much toolbar and for some branches no toolbar. How can Alexa mess them correctly? I think Google should buy Alexa and not Amazon!

I want to use db_esc() instead of mysql_real_escape_string(). I dont want to call mysql_real_escape_string each time when I need a query. I can write a custom function but I want to declare a function-alias if possible.
I could use own function:
function db_esc($str){ return mysql_real_escape_string($str); }
I would prefer something like this:
function_alias( 'db_esc', 'instead of mysql_real_escape_string' );
Any idea?
I could connect to Active Directory using following code or using Drupal's LDAP module. I could log in successfully but I could not create groups automagicly or Drupal does not copy Windows Groups to Drupal roles. Should I do that manually? I am very new to Drupal and LDAP.
If you have a small website which uses php and accept just plain text from users or visitors you need to filter each request to be sure that nobody sends html to hack your site. I put following two lines at the top of my php file. Of course you can add the third line for cookies.
foreach($_GET as $k=>$v) $_GET[$k] = strip_tags($v); foreach($_POST as $k=>$v) $_POST[$k] = strip_tags($v);
I am using internet explorer 8 and last version of jquery. But some effetcs like slidedown, fadein, fadeout dont work with msie but works very good with mozilla firefox 3.5. How to fix it?
You should disallow "/image_captcha*" for webcralwlers like Google Image, Yahoo slurp Msnbot etc. Otherwise your server has to create thousand of captcha images daily just for nothing.
